I'm yet to hear/learn of this (I just had my new Shift drilled and yet to throw it).  the last ball I heard had cracking issues was the Passion when it was first introduced by Storm.  None of the Storm balls I own have cracking issues (Domination, Fired Up, Flash Force, etc.)

Not seeing anything about it in the Shift reviews. I also heard rumors of it with the original Paradigm in the first batch or so, people were talking about cracks across the bridge. Storm said they corrected the problem. My Paradigm never cracked and I use it 3-5 sessions a week.

I imagine some of it has to do with how narrow some peoples bridge are after you factor in inserts (which I don't use).

Plenty of games, and strikes on my Shift with no cracking problems. The only Storm ball I have had to crack was a plastic ball around both finger holes.

I haven't heard anything about Shifts cracking, but I've only seen one bowler use one so far and he doesn't like it very much.  I can attest to the original Paradigm however, mine is sitting in 2 pieces in the pro shop.

I've seen one with a broken bridge and spider line cracking around the finger holes.  It does happen, but to say that there's a "problem" with them it would have to happen a whole lot more often.

Mine cracked (at the bridge) about a week ago. A little chip popped out of the cracked area last night.

I've had my shift for a couple of weeks no with heavy use and still no problems.  They usually only have cracking problems when they introduce a new coverstock from what I've seen, and the R2S has been on 2 balls already.

I shot 300 with mine on Monday.  Pull it out of the bag on Wednesday, is fine..  Throw the first game, and then notice a small crack forming over the bridge

The 5 game one was actually 5 days and that was me. Two cracks developed right above my middle finger and my ball was pin down so it wasn't a pin issue... Also, the passion batch was bad because they weren't letting the cores cure long enough before they added the coverstock. Thus it cured beneath the coverstock and caused it to crack. I had to wait an extra two months for mine because of that... Sent the shift back the other day so we will see what comes of it... Good luck guys!
