Not always. Getting around it and getting a strong wrist turn are 2 different things. One of my best buddies throws a spinner track but has a rev rate in the 250-265 range. When he goes inside or on long patterns, ping-ola or wash outs. Now if he had that ball track and a 400 RPM rev rate, KAPOW!!
You may have your thumb down at the release point, which can cause the track to go that far out. There may be some timing issures putting you in that position at that release.
It sounds like you are a good candidate to get on video and contact Jeff Carter or go see someone locally with some video experience.
