Like the others have said, it would be much easier to give you a recommendation if we knew the conditions you were looking to cover and reaction you want. However, I'll give you a couple of suggestions just off the top of my head.
First of all, the Deuce is reactive and seems to hold up pretty well. I have a friend who uses his all of the time, never cleans it, and the ball seems to be just as strong as the day that he got it.
Aside from the Deuce, I would suggest the following balls:
Cherry Bomb: You'll be able to use it on everything but extreme dry or extreme oil. The ball is easy to maintain, very user and driller friendly and it hits like a ton of bricks.
Hammer Blade Pearl: Can use it on some moderate mediums if the backends are clean or if you have a lot of hand, and it can be used effectively on lighter conditions also. This ball is neck and neck with my bomb for the title of the best ball I've ever thrown. Plus, you can't beat the price!
Lastly, although you said you don't like particles, I'd consider the Granite Gargoyle from Visionary also. First of all, Visionary's particle equipment does not break down like those from the other companies. If you ask around, I think you'll see that several people report that these balls still maintain their reaction after 100-200 games. The ball is very versatile, in that polishing it up can give you a completely different look then it gives when dull. It is also one of the hardest hitting and best carrying balls I've ever seen. The only drawback to the ball is that it picks up dirt very easily. However, a little bit of Doc's Elixir and routine cleaning help to make this a non-issue. I am not a fan of particle balls myself, but this one is different. Plus, you can get one from Buddiesproshop.com for just $95.50 shipped!
