Original compared to Domination
« on: October 12, 2006, 02:05:43 PM »
Side by side comparison to the original Paradigm. Both drilled the same, is the domination a stronger ball? I like my paradigm after sending 2 cracked ones back. I want a medium oil ball with a controllable, strong backend that carries well and cuts through carry down. One that doesn't burn up through beat up heads. but then again who doesn't. What conditions should are you using this domination on ? and how does the cover take to changes?

Im unsure since i havent seen any of the paradigms. but i think the P is stronger in the midlane and less angular on the backend. I think both balls are very similar, but the D would hook more on the backend.
Please correct me if im wrong.

As far as I can tell (haven't seen the Domination in real life so far, just Reactor coverstock in action), i'd also say that the Domination will be a little longer and angular at the break point than the original Paradigm. Furthermore, this difference might also be enhanced through the fact that the EOX coverstock uses some particles in the shell which improve traction and smooth out the brealpoint reaction. Domination might also not handle that much oil, I think?

From what I have seen,  I have a domination and have thrown my friends original they were drilled similar.  The paradigm started to make its move around 40 foot and was stong and controlable.  My domination doesnt make a move til about 50 foot and makes a huge move to pocket like somebody slingshot it.  The domination is longerand stronger than the original and i would only use this ball on a med to med light condition.  I tried to throw it on a med heavy condition and it was really over under and squirty  the domination that is.  I havent made a cover adjustment it is oob, but i dont plan on changing it cause i have other storms to handle other conditions.

I haven't thrown the Domination (yet) but I expect that the differences will be as most have described above.  Domination will be longer and stronger, whereas the Paradigm will handle a little more oil, but won't have as strong of a move on the back end.  To me, the Paradigm acts more like a Pearl Particle ball than a Pearl Reactive, which may be due to what dizzyfugu described above.  I'm definitely looking forward to giving the Domination a try.
