If the ball is an oiler with a dull surface from the factory, I will re-sand it after every set. Whats the point of having a dull peice and have the lane shine up the ball and thus, losing the reaction and the reason you bought a dull ball in the first place?
If it is a shinny ball, I will re-surafe it when it gets a track in it or when gouges or nicks get on my nerves.
