Looking for ball similar to Storm Lightning for THS

Seems this is the only ball I can bowl honor scores with. Looking for similar ball reaction. I am LH med revs and med speed, prefer down and in approach. Other bills I have used either lose energy before hitting pocket or I am inconsistent with hitting 15 to 20 board. Any info is appreciated

Based off of numbers and core shape, closest thing would be a Ride. Tropicals have the same core shape, but much different numbers.

Having thrown them both, I would hazard a guess that the Fanatic BTU is quite close to the Lightning, but not at the Lightning's stock 320 grit, which was an insane starting point even back them. Remember  that the while the BTU's name is "Better Than Urethane", it is NOT urethane, but resin. It's been many years since I've throw a Lightning; so take this with a grin of salt.

Although I haven't thrown one, I would also suspect that the 900Global X is also very close in overall concept to the Lightning (low-ish RG, low differential, dull coverstock). I think it is probably a tad stronger, but with today's oil, that is not a bad thing.

Having not thrown mine yet, I've heard it's stronger than advertised. Can't wait to compare it to my Night Hawk SE.

So by stronger, do you mean a larger backend or just more overall hook?
I'm sure it hooks more than the old lightning, but I was thinking it had the same kind of rolly, non-sharp backend that the Lightning had.

More overall hook. Guessing it will be a ball up from the Night Hawk and the Drift will be a ball down from the Night Hawk.

You might want to think about drilling something that medium-low end with a 5.5-6 inch high VAL angle (probably pin down).
