Paradigm

How does the VE compare to the Original Paradigm? I loved my Paradigm and it finally died almost 4 years later. Hopefully looking for a replacement for this ball. Any suggestions?

I feel the same way. I would love to find a ball to replace my paradigm. A pro shop operator told me they both have the same cover but i know differently. paradigm has the EOX and VE has the R2X hybrid. I also believe that the core specs are almost the same except for the differential. Personally I believe that a Gravity Shift will be closer the a paradigm than anything else. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

I was hoping that a Gravity shift would have been close, but i found that the gravity shift was closer to the paradigm domination.

Word has it that the Paradigm secretly had a light particle load in it. so in that case a VE with a rolly layout should come pretty close. Adjust surface as needed.

nah the word is most every ball made now days had some particle load to it, they just dont tell ya. it wouldnt surprise me in the least it the paradigm had particles in it. that is probably one of the top 3 balls storm ever produced despite the cracking issues. i hev one now but i actually drilled 3 of them with different layouts and you could cover everything from moderate heavy oil all the way to med lite oil with those 3 balls.

yeah really do a little homework. storm has been known to add light loads of particle in the past to balls that werent marketed as particle.

two examples before you ask: el nino wrath used a curelyon coverstock with superfleck. superfleck was an additive in the coverstock that "enhanced traction" but i guess thats not considered particle because they never actually called it particle right?

2nd dimension uses r2x pearl with E.T.M. (enhanced traction mica) i suppose thats not a particle load either because they didnt tell you right?
i wonder why the norm for resurfacing ALOT of the newer balls is to hit the balls with 500 grit sandpaper then use smoother abralon pads. could it be to make the peaks on those "particles" sharper to grip more??

This is all from memory, so accuracy may be an issue, lol.  My buddy had a Paradigm way back when, and it was angular as all heck.  My Gravity Shift doesn't get near the angular backend motion the Paradigm did.  The VE that I've sene, DOES.  I would say VE is more similar to Paradigm than a GS is.

There not necessarrily "particle loads" but they certainly didnt hide them. They advertised the fact. So therefore they do not count because it wasnt a "Secret"

i wasnt denying they might be particles.  i was simply stating those examples  dont count as storm was OPEN about the additives.

From memory, correct me if wrong.

The partical in the paragidm was not as we know it, but was a rubber or epoxy partical/additive.....?????
