Looking to by a new ball
« on: March 17, 2017, 11:46:08 AM »
I am looking to buy a ball that can be my go to ball in almost any situation obviously within reason of lane condition. My current arsenal is the DV8 grudge, and the Storm Pitch black. I really want that in-between where I can play Medium-Heavy, Medium-dry, and medium lanes.

In my area the league I attend allows me to play the DV8 grudge because of the Oil being Kegalstone I can play multiple angles however in tournaments the oil pattern is much shorter 38 feet roughly and less dense. Forcing me to pipe my spareball to the pocket or throw pitch black because the grudge reads so early. I think the pitch black is a great ball but I want something with more of a pop on the back end.

Heres an estimate on how I throw:
Left Handed
2 handed bowler
I range from 16-17 Mph
400-450 revs
I have never measured my axis tilt or rotation

I want a ball that will get down the lane on medium-dry then break with authority.
I have been looking into a lot of pearls but after a lot of comparison videos and research I have been sitting on the Storm Timeless or the DV8 Deviant.

I would prefer a newer released ball and something that will last because I am not able to buy many.

Would definitely suggest a pearl since you may not have one already. Daredevil if you fancy Storm/Roto. If your not brand specific,EBI has some nice pieces. The Kinetic from Track is a very good pearl, and heard good things about the GB2 Phenom Pearl as well.

You are screaming Dare Devil to me. This ball has plenty of back end, but is smooth. For drier conditions look at a Wreck em.

Another option for you is to look at getting either a Hy-Road or a Hy-Road Pearl.

I have been using my Fanatic SS, and cant put that ball down. I have been able to use it on league THS, and on a white pattern. Now if you're looking for length I would suggest the Quantum Fire.
