LRG vs. LRG Limited Edition
« on: May 07, 2004, 11:45:12 AM »
According to the Storm web site the Core Power LRG and the Core Power LRG Limited Edition (LE) are the same ball except for the smell and the coverstock: the original having the Cadmium Solid coverstock and the LE having the PRO-Thane MT Pearl Pearl Particle.

Does anyone know which of the two coverstocks is stronger as far as hook potential?

I believe the limited edition is an LRG core and a Hrg coverstock just combined to make the ball get through the heads better and arc harder on the backend. Have no real experience with the ball but heard from my driller this was the case with the limited edition.

I also suspect since the Core Power LRG is a pretty even reacting ball, at least for me and not many are.  That the Core POwer LE will be VERY EVEN as many pearl particles are(depending on % loading of particles).

I would expect the Depth Charge to be very similar but a little more move(more diff) and the Eraser Particle pearl to be even more at the back due to a more jerky core motion(ie Eraser)!

I'm guessing if you are looking for a very even look in pearl this would be it!

Thanks to everyone who replied.

LL - exactly, I want an even reacting ball .. and the weaker the better, thus the question.  I'd really like a Tour Power, but the search has been tough.
