Hybrid to fit between Invasion and Anarchy
« on: April 30, 2011, 10:23:55 AM »
I was just curious if anyone had info or a guess if they will have a hybrid to fit in between the invasion and anarchy.  Or, if they are going to skip to the Virtual Nano line of balls.  Just looking for info or input on the subject!

I would suggest you try an Infinite Theory.  It has a very strong hybrid cover and core combination.  I think you will be very impressed.

I think the infinite theory is too much like the Anarchy.  I would say go with a Virtual Energy.  I throw the Nano, Anarchy, and VE.  When the Nano burns up I go to the Anarchy.  When that pushes a little to long, I go to the VE and it digs in nicely.  They are discontinued but you can get them still.

Balls in the bag and order they come out:
#1/2 Nano and Anarchy #3- Virtual Energy   #4- Gravity Shift #5- Big Hit (spare and really dry)
#6- Teal Rhino Pro (oldie but a goodie)

@rctc286 - My question is what do your Invasion and Anarchy do that is missing? Not really sure why you're trying to squeeze in a tight window though.

@Storm22, I threw the Infinite Theory to me was a different motion. The  Origin Core used in the Anarchy & Invasion is a different shape as  it tends to be on the rolly side.

I really like the the way the invasion and anarchy roll.  Im not trying to sqeeze anything between them I notice these days it seems to be the trend for storm and roto grip to make a hybrid ball.  I havnt had much luck with the virtual energy at all I have had 2 drilled different just didnt match up with me.  I am really not looking to get a ball to fit between them unless storm is making with the same core, cover deal.  The anarchy is one of my best balls I have owned in a long time the Invasion rolls nice just need to know when to use it.  So I would be intrested in a hybrid of these balls.  Thanks, for all the input.

Honestly, I'm not expecting a hybrid for this series. Look at the Infinite Theory if you want a comparable hybrid cover to go with these two.

I agree that they probably won't release a hybrid with this core.  They will most likely do a Virtual Energy "Nano" instead.  I think this is because the Invasion core reads earlier and is more continuous downlane whereas the VG core is more longer and quicker off of friction.   A pearl VG would have been really skid flippy (too much so), so that's why they went hybrid with the Energy.  Because the Invasion core was earlier and smoother, they went with a Pearl cover for the polished version  (Anarchy) so that it would read later.  This is just my opinion and an educated guess based on throwing the VG, Invasion and the VE.

The pearl VG was the Gravity Shift. I agree with your assessment of it, though. In my opinion, the core seemed to overwhelm the cover and it was too condition specific for me.

I had completely forgotten about the Gravity Shift.  I own a VG and it's much cleaner thru the front part of the lane then I expected and corners as hard as many strong pearls that I've thrown in the past.   The Energy was borderline "too flippy" downlane for me, especially if I turned the ball a little early.   I think that for a polished ball to use on longer/heavier patterns, an Anarchy, Infinite Theory or a Bank Pearl are better choices.

I think the answer to this one is pretty obvious....I have drilled several Reign Supremes and have managed to get significantly different reactions out of them for the different customers.

I am willing to bet you could get the Reign Supreme to fit where you want it to as well.
