May have found my light oil / dry lane ball
« on: September 17, 2017, 09:50:05 PM »
I was given a mint 2Fast by a friend, and rolled it today for the first time, on fairly light oil that had some play on it, but not much.  Really liked it.  5 warm up frames, then 247 playing straight up 5, with a late break to the pocket.  Layout is pin up, 5" pin to pap, no hole.  Good looking ball and a good scent too.  Hopefully it will turn out to be a good 3rd game ball, or even earlier depending on conditions.  Anyone else use a 2Fast?

Yesterday's house shot ball is often tomorrow's dry ball.  Same with oiler to house shot as well.

(edit:  noticed core on that ball is umm unique)

Same core as the Frantic, which was a very popular ball for Storm.

Oh I am sure its great but more making a pre-school level joke about its shape (as shown on say bowlingball.com).

I would like Storm to bring back the NOS core.

Storm 2Fast, Fringe, then Freakin Frantic all had same core, same Pearl R2S cover. Outside of color & smell seems like all are the same ball to me. You get below 14 lbs & even almost all the cores are the same generic so pretty much any R2S pearl cover at 13 lbs or less is the same as any other, in my opinion. At least Storm, on their website shows when a ball less than 14 is using the same core as 14 & over, albeit lower density. Not many balls but some. Motiv says they always use same cores in lighter weights as heavier ones but a lower density version, I think everyone else uses generic cores for lighter weights
