Why hasn't storm come out with a symmetrical particle pearl in a mid price line like the fire line? I know they have the shift, but I would rather see something like the r2s in particle pearl with like the inverted twin v core.

They had the Pyro - probably an overlooked ball.

While it would be nice to have a ball like the Pyro back in the line-up, it was removed because it didn't sell so well. Also, realize that the Rapid FIre has such a (relatively) even reaction and such a huge backend in its polished state, for all intents and purposes, it plays the role of a particle pearl. Rough up the surface a bit and it'll act like a resin solid that it is.
I still believe you should look for a ball reaction, not a ball. Just because a ball's pieces fit into a particular niche (particle pearl, resin pearl, solid particle) does not mean it will behave in the stereotypical fashion for that niche.
Examples: Some resin pearls, like the Gravity Shift, the Total Inferno, the Gladiator Pearl are so strong that they act more like polished solids. A solid particle, like the Lanemasters Sting, is so skid/flippy, it acts more like particle pearl. Some particles pearls, like the Radar Alert, are so strong, they act like a solid particle.
