Pin Down Dimension
« on: August 26, 2008, 08:39:17 AM »
Just wanting to see what you guys have been seeing, reaction wise with your pin down Dimension's. I just got a used one off ebay for real cheap, it is pin under ring probably 4 3/4 or 5 pin from PAP, with the cg being around 4 to 3 3/4.

Just wanted to see if this is a decent drill on this ball, hoping it will be versatile.

Pin down always gets the ball going earlier and smoother and seems to work better for side rollers and on fresh backends.

If you are an up the backer or using to play inside real deep it may NOT be the way to go....

I've got a pin under middle finger strong drilling (CG kicked right) DIMENSION that I love on fresh oil. Go back on this forum and you can read my full report.

This will be my first ball out of the bag hopefully on a frsh pattern that is oiled over the womens league the night before, so there should be enough to use this without question. I just hope I won't be cliping the fingers, and there is a balance hole 2.5 inches to the right of the thumb that I might clip as well. We wil just have to see what happens

I have heard the carry with this thing is really good, that is a big problem with my house, lots of pesky tens, my code has been doing a real good job so far, but at the beginning with all the oil I have to play stait up the boards, my money shot on this pattern is a slight swing from 10-15 at the arrows out to 5, and then moving left as the night progresses.

Oiled over the womans league?  Does this mean stripped or sloppy backends from a lot of plastic?

monday before womens league they strip then oil them, then tuesday they just oil over top of what is left from the womens the night before for our league, so yes sloppy backends from the carrydown. Inconsistent every week, and considered med-heavy in my book, but it gets slicker in the colder months.

not to mention the guy who owns the place, who is a friend of mine said it is 45ft in length. I have bowled in alto of places in my area and this is the place with the lowest amount of honor scores in a season.
