Sorry to say I need one, happy they make them.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the two adjustable braces: the gizmo and the gadget.

Difference is $. Both are VERY similar in what they are helping with! Gadget has replaceable pads.
Use "IT" and BOWL UP A STORM!!

Dang that was easy. I assumed because of the price difference there must be some difference other than the replaceable pads.

The Gadget seems to be built much better imho. Plus, if you bowl a lot, replacing smelly/worn out pads is much cheaper than replacing the entire brace.
