Modern marvel - above frantic less than critical theory

 So,I ordered a modern marvel hoping to fill a gap between my frantic and critical theory.  I had a second dimension in there, but the layout didn't match up to my game and the carry wasnt consistent.  Anyway, I'm thinking of the same layout as the frantic and letting the cover/core combo give the look I want on slightly heavier patterns.

actually it might be stronger then critical depending on the layout

so maybe go with a weaker layout and if anything try a tad bit polish or go true 4000

as in 500/1000/2000/4000 from the stock surface of 500/4000

 The frantic is a pretty strong ball... Especially with pin down layouts and stronger drillings. I would say that you may not even need anything to go in between those two balls mentioned because they may overlap each other.
 

I would say you may want to consider getting something stronger than the critical and then weaker than maybe the frantic! I think the Modern Marvel will be very similar to the Critical so forth...

I'd also guess that the Modern Marvel will be too close to the Critical. It's a strong dull , low RG ball.
 
I'd suggest a Victory Road solid, possibly taken to 3000 or 4000 grit. Its stock 2000 grit makes it a fairly strong ball, but its higher RG gives it more possibilites than the Modern Marvel.

 Thx for the replies.  Most Of the storm reps are saying the modern is 4-5 stronger than the frantic if drilled the same.  My CT is a lot of ball that only gets used on tournament conditions.  I'd say my CT is 8 or more than my frantic.

 I believe the victory road solid comes 3000 abralon.  The OOB on the modern is 4000.  Just for clarification.  With the right layout and surface preps the modern marvel will definitely fit between the 2.  My opinion.
