For me Rougue picked up in the lane sooner and handles more oil. I think both really shouldnt overlap each other.

jkiser01,

I think he means the Virtual Energy, not the Virtual Gravity.

If used with their stock surfaces (VE: 1500 grit US polished, RC: 500/4000 Abralon matte), then you could probably use both of them. However, if you polished the RC or dulled the VE, then I amnot sure how much difference there is between them.

Both are solid/pearl combinations and both are medium asymmetric cored balls. Both have strong-ish reactions.

I own both balls and I find that they complement each other very well.

The Rogue will handle more oil than the VE.  However, for me, the VE has a stronger back end.  The Rogue's back end is strong, too.  But, the VE's is stronger.

I consider the Rogue to be the ultimate benchmark ball.  If you need a ball to tell you what the condition is on the lanes, then roll this ball.  In my opinion, it has the most versatile cover on the market today.  Now take what I just said and then take away just a tiny little bit of that versatility and that is what the VE has to offer.

By far, the VE is Storm's best ball in a long time.  I use my VE more than I use my Virtual Gravity!  The VG may sell more, but I would argue that the VE is the "better" ball.  Yes folks, the VE is just that good!

Buy both balls with confidence.  They compliment each other well and they don't overlap each other at all.  That is, however, if you know when to put one down.  LOL!

My buddy owns both and has the same layout on both. He threw his Rogue for state but was missing a ball below that to push farther down the lane so he struggled alittle trying to find that. He had with him a Spitfire and a Hyroad but wasn't getting the reaction he wanted.
He then punched his Virtual Energy and he got exactly what he was looking for!
