Most Forgotten Storm Ball In The Last 15 Years?

What is the most forgotten Storm Ball in the last 15 years to you? Just thought this would be an interesting way to spark conversation about balls that sounded like a good idea but never caught on.

Interesting someone mentioned the vivid.  Going back about 7 years storm was making AZO balls. One, the area was a tremendous ball that many people ignored because of the price.  A friend of mine talked me in to trying one, and I made a boat load of money with it.  A couple of years later he told me Storm was using that weight block again in the vivid.  He warned me not to try the vivid, but get the pearl ( lucid ) when it came out.   He was right, and the lucid became my go to tourney ball on medium to long patterns.  What made both the Area and Lucid good was the deceptively stong back end movement.  Continuation hadn't become a buzz word yet but these balls had it.  Just too much shell for the vivid as it just tamed down to much, too quick.

The most forgettable Storm balls for me was the Shift (boat anchor) and the Invasion.

It's probably operator error, but I just got tired of trying so many different things to make them work!

I would have to say all 3 of my personal favorite, simply because they didnt fit that storm  hockey stick reaction.

Special Agent
Tour power
Shift

I agree on the original IQ.  A teammate of mine had one for 3 weeks and moved on from it quickly.  It was the only one I ever saw.

Wow never seen anybody say both the Shift and Special Agent were their favorites before.  The Shift certainly didn't fit the hockey stick shape because it burned up all its energy about the time it hit the arrows and had nothing for the backend.

The shift at 1500 grit polish burned up at the arrows for you? I know it was pearl particle, never heard anyone say it burned up. I drilled one up for nationals years ago and smoothed the cover to 2000 grit and shot a respectable 670 before I went to a gravity shift that rolled a lot sooner than the shift. Interesting to say the least.

Yep that thing rolled out like a no other ball I have thrown and hit so weak.  Bought it to be my primary ball back in the day and at the same time bought a BVP Rampage as a backup and it only took a few weeks until I was throwing the BVP Rampage as my primary ball and the Shift sat in my bag.  Eventually that Shift turd cracked in my garage (so glad it was that one) where I was storing both of them during a long layoff but I still roll that BVP Rampage today.  Back then Brunswick made as good or better cover stocks (powerkoil was awesome but didn't know back then) than Storm but that would change a little bit after that.  From what I understand the Gravity Shift was a much better ball (none of that particle garbage).  Its also why I won't buy a nano Storm ball even to this day.

Easy -  Reign-of-Fire

This is the turd that sticks out in my mind the most. I'm a Storm/Roto guy but this ball was even worse then the junk Ebonite put out in the mid-late 2000's. Remember those kids, ball death after 15-20 games! And the Reign-of-Shi....Fire carried/hit worse when it was brand new!

Storm Prodigy definitely comes to mind when I consider balls that have fallen off the face of the planet. Good riddance I'd say though...

Man, Storm balls are either legendary or so bad you want to stop drilling their stuff altogether.

Amongst the frenzy of the new balls being released I implore everyone, go to the storm website. Read the descriptions on some balls in this thread. Sound awesome don’t they.........
