« on: October 18, 2017, 12:16:41 AM »
What is the most forgotten Storm Ball in the last 15 years to you? Just thought this would be an interesting way to spark conversation about balls that sounded like a good idea but never caught on.
League: Pitch Purple, Destiny Magenta
Testing: MVP
Interests: Black Widow, Proof Solid, Idol Pearl

Most forgotten was the !Q solid...not the tour.
I mentioned earlier  ;) hard to believe that ball shares the same name as one if their best balls

This is why I ignore the marketing material and call them like I see them . . sounds like Bam Bam writes the descriptions/summaries on the website . .

Man, Storm balls are either legendary or so bad you want to stop drilling their stuff altogether.

Amongst the frenzy of the new balls being released I implore everyone, go to the storm website. Read the descriptions on some balls in this thread. Sound awesome don’t they.........

Storm Prodigy definitely comes to mind when I consider balls that have fallen off the face of the planet. Good riddance I'd say though...

To this one, I say "WOW!" It's all about match-ups I guess. I have a Storm Prodigy that literally never leaves my bag!! It is my bench mark ball right now, and my....."Get-me-out-of-trouble" ball whenever I'm struggling.

I shot 735, with a 288 game in TNBA regionals with it last year!

Like so manybaggressive solids the prodigy shell was very difficult to maintain.  I shot 300 out of the box with mine and could barely get the 5 pin out a couple of weeks later.  Bad core shell matchup for me.  That core went much better with an aggressive pearl shell

My prodigy was killer as well. Anything with r2x etm was good, the second dimension was another Hallmark with that cover.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

EOX is probably the worst cover theyve ever had. Followed closely by Monsoon.

Trauma Response - ball was a turd for me never reacted well.  but I had that at a time where being a ball whore wasn't economically feasible so it stayed in the bag.  Got to a tournament where everyone had a terrible look on the lanes.  I grabbed the Response out of desperation and low and behold it gave me the best look on the lanes of anyone there and I won the tournament running away.

The damn thing cracked 3 weeks later...

Paradigm Passion and the EOX Coverstock.

I didn't start bowling 10 pin leagues until I was 28 (15 years ago). First Storm ball I bought was the Charge Pearl. Then the Fear Factor. Third was the Paradigm Passion. I didn't buy another Storm ball until the VG Nano. That Passion just did nothing for me.

This was Bobby Hall Sr.'s favorite ball when I was drilling for him. I must have drilled him 30-40 of those balls as they all would eventually crack. Hall Sr. did so well at the Senior US Open one year with 7 of those and a spare ball that Schlem told him to call up Storm and they would send him a case of those Passions anytime he wanted. I was so tired of seeing that ball and I've never thrown one.
