What current Storm ball is the most versatile. I'm talking if I were to take this one ball to a tourney and had a set of abralon pads with me.
-
Rapid Fire!
I can play everywhere on the lane with this ball and I haven't even knocked the factory polish off it yet.
-
T-Road Solid. Loves surface adjustments and I've used it on just about every condition there is.

I don't really own a newer ball, my latest being a T-Road Pearl. I would imagine the T-Road Solid, Sure Fire and regular Agent are more versatile than you can shake a stick at.
-
So far the ball that has worked for me on the most variety of patterns house or sport conditions has been the Special Agent. I would think the T-Road Solid would rank right up there.
Oh granted oil and surface prep taken into account of course. On a real wet dry shot, I just use the Thunderstruck.

From my own experience I would have to say the original Agent...

Yeah, I bet you could have an Agent and a Special Agent and pretty much be set.

PEARL: Spit Fire
SOLID: Thunderstruck
If your goal is "versatility" then I would not pack stronger pieces because I would think one goal would be able to use the ball as the pattern breaks down, at least until they really start curving.

The SureFire is almost a one ball arsenal except for the extremes, smooth and strong which to me is versatility. You decided to replace your BV's?

No! The Blue Vibes are awesome! Very versatile ball. I just like to try different equipment from other ball makers from time to time. I would like to try a Storm ball. I have only had 1 ball made from Storm and it was the Paradigm. Good ball! I'm just looking for a versatile bowling balls that responds very well to cover changes. I prefer a symmetrical ball. I personally like the way symmetrical bowling balls roll compared to asymmetrical. I think symmetrical equipment works better on tougher patterns.

Of the Storm balls I've thrown, the T-Road Pearl is the most versatile with the Agent coming in a close second (doesn't handle fried heads very well with any surface). As far as your 1 ball for a tourney with a set of pads with you, I'd probably go with a T-Road Solid. It was Bowler's Journal Ball of the Year and it could handle a little more oil than the TRoad Pearl because of the solid coverstock. But if I could take 2 balls and had to use Storm, I'd take a TRoad Solid and a TRoad Pearl.

I seen a T-road solid in action and must say it's pretty impressive. How does the Agent compare to the T-road solid?
-
If I were only wanting to use one Storm ball it would be the Agent.

If I had to pick one and only one I would probably do an original Agent or T-Road Solid.
