My Mix is... bleeding oil?
« on: July 29, 2020, 02:52:39 PM »
So, throughout this spring and summer since bowling has been shut down in our state I've noticed something odd. Every time I open my bag up my Mix is covered in oil. Seems kind of strange given it's a urethane/polyester blend. I actually do wipe it after a shot and clean in periodically too. Has anybody else had theirs do this?

That's the one I have. Wonder if there's something to that.

The balls name is Mix.  Wonder if there is something to that as well.  My understanding is that some of the modern urethanes do have a hint of resin or plasticizer in their covers and not really a true urethane.  Not sure if this is the case with your Mix though.  But apparently plasticizer feels just like oil if it rises to the surface of the ball.

Not my mix but my Natural Urethane has done it before as well. It has even done it when my reactive balls have not.

My Mix does this as well. I was kind of surprised when I first felt the oil slime picking it out of the bag. It's a spare ball for me, so no biggie.

My green/white Mix also does this. It's kinda gross to pick it up after I leave it in the car.
