Paradigm price
« on: September 21, 2005, 04:59:06 AM »
It's priced $30 or so higher than the Trifecta. Why such a steep price increase on Storm's high-end stuff, in such a short period of time?

It's still a resin based coverstock so what's with the 20-25% increase in cost?

I think it is a combination of rising petroleum prices and other costs...plus Col300 coming out with that new premium epoxy ball that is highly priced.

I can see a modest price increase for petro prices etc but 20-25% seems excessive. Columbia put out a new product, years in development. Storm's new coverstock is just another tweeked resin. But you're probably right, Columbia raised the price bar so they'll all probably start raising them.

I agree that better bowlers can bowl well with just about anything from mid-pricers and up. My Fired Up (which I got for $75) works as well as anything else on a medium condition.

8 (or 10?) years of research is probably a tad expensive . .

And from what I understand the Epoxy is resin based with an Epoxy additive. Don't know how true but that is what my chemist friend told me. SO why does columbia consider that worth $300.00. I have an email in to Storm to get more info but they aren't releasing any info yet, just to distributors.
