Nano Death

Anyone experiencing a reduction in performance of their Nano?  Ball has 100+ games on it, been rejuvenated once and gets cleaned everytime it's used.  Also I touch up the surface with a 4k pad by hand once a week and have taken it down to 500 then 4000 four or five times.  It's been an awesome ball but recently it seems to have lost backend movement as well as continuation through the deck.  Not complaining by any means just curious what anyone else has experienced.

So far I haven't had any issues with the surface on mine.  I clean it after each session, and deep clean it around every 15 games with Clean N' Dull.  I also found that taking it down to 500 and then using 2000 works best at the house I bowl at.  The 4000 surface seemed to be hit or miss. 

Depending on how long it's been since you had the oil extracted, it may be time to do another bake in the revivor oven.

If it were me I would not consider taking a VG Nano a "super cover" ball to 1500 grit polished.  For me that would not be the usage that this ball was designed for but that's just me.

The ball likes oil, so perhaps it is finding friction too early.  My observation is that the Nano is a beast when polished. 
 
The oil extraction process / resurfacing is typically very good with Storm covers, too, except I recommend it every 50-60 games . Light resurfacing every 30 games or so. I have yet to see a Storm (or Brunswick) cover that I can't get reaction back. Surface will be your key. Find the magic combination for your game and conditions and your ball will last a very long time. Good luck.

It is starting to get cooler out in some parts of the country. Often, when the ground temp gets cooler, so do the lane beds, and the resulting friction is a little less. This would make balls "appear" to grab the lane less.
