Natural VS Grenade
« on: February 13, 2011, 03:19:28 AM »
Going to be getting a urethane soon, and have decided it will be between these two as the Visionary Ogre and Brunswick Avalanche both seem to be aimed at totally fried lanes, and that's not what we have. We have a longer, lighter pattern with dry outside of the eighth board.

Just looking for a straight comparison from people who may have thrown/used/owned both of these pieces.

"Yeah, I throw AMF. What's it to ya"?

I wouldn't discount the avalanche urethane just yet. From the way I read your post, you're looking for a urethane with more hook, well the avalanche urethane does outhook the natural, and it does it with more of a snappy motion, almost like its just a really mild reactive pearl, not urethane.

Although I am a fan of the Grenade, the Avalance Urethane does outhook the Natural and Grenade at the same surface. I also like the Hype Urethane, its stronger than all of them, but don't plan on polishing it.
