Very awesome arsenal, how fun to look at. I just have some (probably ignorant) questions.

1) On an Agent and a Secret Agent you got the pin smack dab in the middle of your grip, what exactly does this do? I've never even heard of this before, and I am quite intrigued

2) This may be a very ignorant question, so please pardon me lol. But I see that looking at your grip specs diagram, your thumb hole is 7/16 inches to the left of the line that bisects your grip center. Now are all grips like this? Or is this something that you do that helps your game? Another thing I just have never seen before.

Thank you so much for being so involved in the bowling communities. I love to see the new stuff, and I'm quite pleased to see that you still have  Pyro (I love the Pyro so hard). I hope your recovery goes well Jeff, and I can't wait to see you on the show again! Happy holidays, happy and healthy New Years to you and your loved ones.

Well, think about it.  The lower you place the pin, the earlier and smoother your reaction is, right?  Pin right on grip center height is going to be super smooth off the spot and won't drive too hard on the backend.  Also, since the pin is 4 1/2" from his PAP, it's still going to give it moderate length and a moderately strong reaction.  Combine those and you get a great control ball for when the shot is either very flat or kind of over/under.  (And putting that kind of drill on a ball that's already smooth as hell like the Agent or Secret Agent... man, those are a couple of the best control balls I can imagine punching up!)

Does that all sound correct to you, Jeff?

Its a pin in palm drilling or also known as RICO.  Usually, the ball is very smooth and even arc.  (Jeff, comments)???  I hope I got that right.

Actually, having the pin at grip center does not always mean it's a RICO drilling.  That's only part of the RICO layout (the rest is CG 45 degrees, x-hole in a line with the CG and pin, 6 3/4" from the pin)

I have a Secret Agent 1,000 Ab and a Special Agent 4,000 Ab this way that I use a lot on house conditions and as first efforts on PBA Shark.

Riggs,

As a Storm product user, what about us high trackers? My PAP is 5 1/2 over and 5/8 up. I am within a 1/2 inch of my thumb. A pin that low, puts me on the bridge and the edge of the thumb hole. If I follow Mo and Lou Marquez theories on ball layout, I should never have a pin under period because of my track. The long patterns like Shark and longer get me in trouble because I can not get the ball to slow down enough to see any friction at all.

That is a neat neat idea. It sounds like the perfect way to combat slop. Now thinking hypothetically, what would a ball do if the pin was like, next to your thumb hole? Is that when you get into the land of negatively drilled balls? I've seen one guy who had a Red Alert Zone who had the pin under his thumb and he used it as his spare ball, but it still picked up and hooked a little, it never did go completely straight. Very interesting stuff! I love learning new things
