Sorry, but this is beginning to sound like what so many of the Columbia nay-sayers have been screaming about and making fun of Columbia for. It seems to have gotten to the point where one no longer has to be concerned with drilling options or surface change options - you only have to pick the right ball.
Like Columbia they are discontinuing balls that they don't give half a chance of succeeding. Marketing seems to becoming their life's blood, not bowling.
I used the word 'seems' advisedly, because I don't know if this is the case. It's just the appearance of the situation to me.
Make no mistake; I still believe both Storm and Columbia make some great bowling balls. I just believe that in such a limited market, this strategy, a literal parade of bowling balls, can be very self-defeating.
