Title: new coverstock too aggressive?

i have a fired up and a hot rod hybrid. they both seem to  be
alot more aggressive when they hit any dry boards than any other
ball that i have. both seem to be more aggressive than my banshee
when it comes to length and the back end reaction. i can understand
the fired up rolling earlier and hooking sharper because of the
increased differential and more dynamic weight block but i didn't think
that the hybrid would be anywhere near as strong as it is. it seems as
btm is way off when it says that this ball is best for dry lanes. has
anyone else made the same observation that i have?
 

my fired up is drilled 5x4, banshee 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 hybrid 5x6.

yeah, also just as a reminder, all polished balls, like the hot rod hybrid and the fired up are will jump off the dry because they need the friction to start a move.

I had a similiar experience with my hybrid on fresher of medium length patterns where it was too strong off the spot. I scuffed it with a white scotchbrite and made it much better and more predictable

My fired up really corners hard when it hits the dry. Actually a little too hard. Tons of length...clears the fronts very well.

Another thing I have noticed is that guys are laying out their balls too strong for the conditions and volumes they are bowling on.
Scuffing it a bit just to break the factory shine will make it read a bit earlier and not as violently on the backend.

I did a lengthy lay out pin over fingers touching center line with the cg right 2" and needing a weight hole and this ball really rolls strong on our 40 ft top hat pattern. Billy Ray, do you recommended using a spinner and lightly hitting the surface or no spinner.

Guys should try shortening your pins and avoiding some much shine. My Hybrid it 1/4 negative w/ 7/8 finger, pin is 1.5"; beautiful arcing reaction when the lanes break down.

With Scothbrite you can do either since I am really only talking about lighty scuffing the surface to break the shine you can easily do it by hand
