On the USBC approved list as of February-'14:
Storm:
Punch Out, Wipe Out, Code Black SP, Tropical Breeze Orange/Teal & Blue Teal,
Roto Grip:
Mega Cell
The Code Black SP is almost certainly international but I'm going to venture a guess that either the Punch Out or Wipe Out is going to be a stateside release along with the Breezes. Roto already posted two internationals in January with the Demented and Duel Alliance so could there be another Cell on the horizon? Anyone have some nice insider info for either company??

This is pure speculation as Storm has not released information yet, but they usually put out something right about May 1. The lower end of their line-up is due for some pieces and a solid and pearl turbine core ball would make sense. If memory serves me correctly, Storm put out the Fringe and Manic in spring 2012, the Furious and Fast in spring 2010, and Street Rod and Street Rod Pearl in 2008. I am not sure when the 2Furious and 2Fast came out but they might have been spring releases as well.
Unless there has been a change in strategy, Roto Grip probably will not have another release until Bowl Expo time. Roto used to try to stay a little more slower on their releases so not to dilute what their parent company had out. They put 3 out at the first of the year and had 3 releases (really 5 if you count the Shout/Scream color updates) at Bowl Expo. Storm had the Marvel/Hy-Road Pearl at Bowl Expo and then the Byte/Reign On in October. Now they have put out their usual USBC tournament release in the Fusion and Zero.
Sorry for the book, but so far both companies are staying close to the pattern they have set. now would I love a pearl Hyper Cell to play with all summer.............

Actually there is 5 new releases Pitch Black,Punch Out,Wipe Out and 2 new Tropical Breezes.

I'm disappointed they are taking a step backwards in the Hot line by basically going back to copies of the original Fast and Furious, but the hot line was getting thin and needed some more pieces. Just wish they had either gone with a new core or something to mix things up. Pretty surprised with a revamped urethane piece as well to be honest. With the Super Natural, I didn't see them adding another Urethane to their lineup. Although it is in the Thunder line vs the Hot line so maybe it will be a stronger urethane or something.

Tropical Breezes don't count to me.

I understand what you're saying, but I think the current balls with the NOS cores are too rolly for the line, a move back to the Turbine cores seperates the line from the Thunder line in my opinion.
The Black Out will appeal to a lot of people, especially the ballreviews crowd with slower speed or the caveman crowd who refuse to move their feet and crowbar balls up the dry on house shots.

Tropical Breezes count for me.I bowl in the desert.I really wonder where some people actually get to use all these dang hook monsters that come out every 3 months.Must be nice to bowl on enough oil to actually use them.Unless you are one of the few million with 250 rr and your hand sewed on backwards shooting honor scores every night on conditions 15 years ago that would be illegal.

Come to Manistee, Mi. The house shot in the colder times is a 43 ft appx 25 unit oil. The wood lanes play quite oily, and get a lot of carry down.

Not sure if the Roto Grip Mega Cell is an international release or not. But, I was able to find a picture of it though.

Probably is international. I am waiting for a critical theory type cover finish (pearl, no polish) with the cell core.
It's only a matter of time.

The NOS core was rolly for you? Maybe the Manic/2furious were on the rolly side but the Frantic and 2fast/fringe/freakn frantic seemed pretty skid/snap to me. I feel like the turbine core is more rolly than the NOS core.
Yeah I see what you mean with the Pitch Black though, there are a lot of guys in my area that this ball would work well for. The problem is most of those same guys are the ones that are convinced they need the newest hook monsters or the guys that have been using the same ball for 15 years and have no intentions of replacing it haha.

Roto could make a lot of people happy and just bring back the critical theory in general...or a theory-cored ball with a new pearl cover.
