I'm looking forward to the new Lights Out formerly (Black Out) changed for obvious reasons...looks like the best of both worlds, Hy-Road cover and the Tropical Heat Turbine core. This is a def must have hybrid needed to round out my arsenal of 900 Global & Storm/Roto equipment! Summer PBA Experience here I come with a vengeance!! LOL!

Interesting... So the Lights Out looks to be replacing the Frantic... But they're coming out with a Freakn' Frantic which I know is a different cover, but why keep the name alive...? Unless they are going to overlap & keeping the Frantic...? Other than the core... being in the same line, what makes them (Frantic & Lights Out) so different?  Eliminating the NOS core?  Just trying to figure this out...

So what would be the difference between this release and the 2Fast and Fringe?  Just color schemes?  The R2S pearl cover at 1500 grit with the NOS core looks to me to be the same ball.

No, the Lights Out seems to be transition between the Frantic & the Tropical Heat Black Silver Hybrid. It uses the R2S coverstock and the light bulb/Messenger core. And Storm is placing it in the same class as the NOS core/R2S covered balls.

Just looked at the Storm website and all the Tropical Heats are gone, moved the "Classics" class.

It looks like they're renaming the Fringe with a "Frantic" in the name & a different color because the Frantic is popular and the Fringe isn't. So I wouldn't be surprised to see a solid Frantic-something replace the Manic.

I prefer a solid r2s with turbine again. I missed out on the fast and furious series.

Charlest is right.  Freakn Frantic = Fringe, just with a slight, unmentioned strengthening of the color to make it a little stronger than the Fringe.
