Exploring the Creation of a 3D-Printed Bowling Ball
« on: December 30, 2024, 02:02:24 AM »
I have an idea to create a bowling ball using a 3D printer. If anyone has suggestions or experience with 3D printing materials and techniques for such a project, I’d greatly appreciate your input.

I’m considering materials for coating the bowling ball after printing. Should I print with PLA, ABS, or another type of material? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

It should be easy enough, but I don't see the point.

A bowling ball with the holes already programmed in?

Conventional materials won't provide the density to have any weight in a ball, and likely be quite difficult to make the finished product round.

Could definitely make something happen, but just don't think you'd get a ton of value out of it.

We have played around a bit with 3D printed thumbs this year, been able to get them to come out pretty good, but still more a fun experiment than anything practical.

I think 220avg made one on YouTube, it didn’t last long. Made fun viewing though.
