New Topic...what goes and what stays?
« on: July 28, 2003, 06:10:13 PM »
Since you guys have been asking for new topics, here's one to contemplate.

Suppose you were the director in charge of marketing for Storm and were told that you had to cut the line down. Trim out the excess fat so to speak.

What would you keep and what would you dump?

Storm has grown into a very large company with a huge ball offering but companies like RotoGrip, Lane 1, Visionary and now even Brunswick seem to be getting the job done with smaller lines.

What goes and what stays?

Jeff,

It's more than going away...the TP is gone....I have checked with every supplier I can think of to locate one for a local customer here and I cannot find a sinlge NIB 15# Tour Power.

Yes I agree...that ball, the Eraser and the Too Hot were both too good to let go.

You both have hit my thoughts exactly.

The PowerCharge Pearl...is it needed? I mean there was the Eraser and the X Factor.

The LRG? We have the Deuce and the Boost

The HRG? I never did really find a place where this fit. But you have the Blaze, Eraser Particle and the Reloaded.

I also agree with keeping the Big Hits and trashing the Hits. they could drop the price of the Big Hits a few $$$ and sell them for $5 more than the Hits were and sell a lot more because they would be cheaper than the Tornados and the Scouts.

I think that by having a Power line that they are really taking away sales from their Master line. People would spend the extra $30 to get the performance if they had to. But if you give them an in between line, they'll save the $$$ and buy cheaper.

Any opinions on my opinion??? :-)

True Doug, alot of people started to the LRG instead of the Deuce because the LRG was cheaper and hook as much, same as the EPP this ball maybe stronger than the Reloaded. Customer are saving $50-60. Storm in truely in need for some mid-price solid reactive resin balls. That Erase-it was a good ball.
