Crux Pearl question
« on: May 01, 2017, 11:19:06 PM »
I have a Crux Pearl I got earlier this year, and it's 14 lbs drilled pin up with the CG a little to the left of ring finger (left handed) and I am finding it's the best ball I have, especially in medium to less oil to dryer lane conditions. The surface is unchanged, same as out of the box new. My question is, if I were to get a second Crux Pearl and perhaps drill it a bit stronger (pin down maybe) would that and a change in surface make this ball effective in heavier oil as my current Crux Pearl is on medium to dryer oil conditions? Even if that worked, would it be a stronger ball for oilier conditions than the Alpha Crux?

That being said I"m starting to get more comfortable bowling in heavy/medium oil to more medium with the Code Black and looking forward to the Hybrid Code Red I hear is going to be announced for world wide release next month.

When people talk about heavy oil, I am never sure what they mean.  Is it a heavier build up in the middle? More oil outside ( flatter pattern )? A longer pattern?  Not trying to be not picky.  The answer to your question really depends on the above factors.

Typically fresh oil and/or a heavier volume of oil applied to the lane.
