Did I see right or was Norm never going to strike till he switched balls?
Was it a Dare Devil at first, all midlane no drive? Then was it the Code Black ball?
LMK.

To each his/her own, but I had a hard time watching this whole clown act. It shows how much the PBA has fallen to have to resort to this kind of stuff.
I watched the first part and saw Norm's carry issues. I didn't hang around to see if he found a solution.

I agree Steven,getting kinda sad

I enjoyed it very much. All of the PBA/celebs bowling are fun to watch. Basketball has it with Kevin H. and he's funny as heck. Base/softball has it and they are all fun to watch. A break from the norm.

Wtf is the super clash?
-
By thy colors, I assumed he started with a Timeless (dark blue as opposed to green/silver). I know the ball he switched to was darker - maybe it was a Code Black?
-
Terrell Owens was throwing a daredevil, while norm was throwing a Timeless.
-
Yeah Duke had a timeless and torrent. They both rolled better in the timed challenge, not the doubles game.

Wtf is the super clash?
"PBA" bowling on TV on Sunday: sports celebrities partnered with PBA bowlers in doubles matches.

You know what would be more entertaining?
Actual bowling.

They don't care about you, they are targeting a "younger, fresher demographic". It's sad, they're trying so hard, it's like the 47 year old guy in his high school lettermans jacket at a teenie bopper bar.

At this point, what can they really do that hasnt been done? You have your regular tournaments. There is a doubles tournament. They have the PBA "League". They have the Chris Paul Tournament.
Wait a sec. There is something that hasnt been done.........COSMIC!!!!!! LMAO!!

There is nothing wrong with events like the Super Clash, but they certainly aren't for the hard core bowling fan. Then again, that's not who they have those events for. As others have said, they're hoping that the fact that celebs are involved will draw non-bowlers to the TV set and maybe even to the lanes later. I see nothing wrong with it as long as they aren't putting all of their eggs into that basket for promotion. That was one of my biggest complaints when I worked for USBC. A few of the higher ups were obsessed with the idea of using shots of famous people (other athletes, movie stars, etc.) bowling in order to prove that bowling is cool. Bowling will never be cool to the masses, so it's pointless to force that approach. Still, there is nothing wrong with showing crossover events like this one once in a while. Other sports do things like that too.

Moonlight 9-pin? Would be time for me to get that PBA card...

That's the answer in the nutshell.
Other sports also do these cheesy events to mix things up, but it's only a very small percent of their broadcasting. Bowling? we have relatively few professional telecasts as it is. The Clash and the Chris Paul events are circus acts, and I wondering how many non-bowlers tune in anyway. If they're going to degrade the professionalism of the sport, I hope they're getting ratings exposure they're chasing.
