I have not rolled the extreme yet(its on its way) or the animal but i hear for heavy oil xxxtreme is suposed to be really great. If your a storm guy like i am then i would go with it.

The Untamed was designed to be a skid/snap ball. It works well on medium to heavy oil patterns. If you want to use it in heavy oil take it down to 320 or consider an Amimal. I have just a touch of polish on mine (it is drilled S/S) and it outhooks my Inferno but the best part is that it is the "best" carring ball that I have ever owned. Carry is everything today. This ball will not dissappointment you.

This is just me, but I can't use reactives on true heavy oil, with my rev rate of 270, I just don't have the hand for it, if you do, then the Triple Xtreme would probably be perfect.  My Triple Xtreme is drilled to go long, so it does skid in heavier oil, but if the backends, or outsides have just a little dry to work with, this ball is almost unstoppable.  Has as much recovery as anything out there when you give it just a bit of dry to work with.  My heavy oil ball, just in case you're wondering is the Fear Factor dulled, but that is probably too much ball for the big handed on any shot.
