What storm ball that can be compared to the Columbia rival? Would prefer asymmetric core.

If you perfer an asymmetric core, then you can't make a comparison to the Rival since its symmetric...

But having used both Storm and Columbia over the last several years, IMO, there is no ball in Storm's line right now, symmetric or asymmetric core, that compares to the Rival.

The Sure Fire is probably the closest but not a asymmetric.

Sure Fire's RG is much higher than the Rival.

I agree.  They really don't have anything. If you can find one, maybe the Paradigm Passion since the rg on that ball is 2.47 and it is designed for heavier oil.

The Rival has a symmetrical core, that's like comparing apples and oranges.   I don't think Storm has anything that compares to the Rival.  Roto Grip's Horizon Solid is the closest Utah made ball.
