Ball Review:
Bringing back one of the most famous cores of all time in the Storm lineup, the Shape-Lock HD core, matched with the new performance coverstock, SPEC, the Gravity Evolve will be a game changer for those heavier oil conditions.
The layout we decided to go with is 50 x 3 7/8 x 75. The stronger layout was intended to combat the higher volume oil conditions. What I saw from the Gravity Evolve was a powerful, controllable, heavy yet early rolling asymmetrical bowling ball with significant continuation.
I have used this a few times in different environments already and this ball will be a must have for the competitive bowler. What I really liked about the Gravity Evolve was the ability to chase it left for more than 2 games and the ball continuing and not being succumbed to the dreadful plaque. There are many times where the asymmetrical solids are real good to start; however, they begin to burn up towards the beginning to middle of a 2nd game and it's time to transition into something weaker to get the ball to go through the pins the right way. This core matched with the SPEC cover is legitimate and will have you staying with the stranger asym longer in league or tournament play.

Buttery smooth.. This ball needs and loves oil! The ever so popular Shape Lock HD Core makes its return wrapped in a SPEC coverstock. Made to last and built for oil this cover can bring you control and consistency. Match it with the powerful core inside and you have a deadly combination down lane. When I first drilled this ball I attempted to throw it on a burnt up house shot and it literally hooked at my feet. I later went to throw it on a sport pattern with heavy oil and this ball really shined. It will be the first ball out of my bag for heavy sport patterns. I really enjoy how smooth and consistent it is. When it goes through the pins you can hear it at the other end of the bowling alley.
