Open Houses...

So I haven't seen any people talking about the open house experiences.

There have been a few already and has anyone gone to them and care to share there experiences?

Our shop hosted one a few weeks ago, Tyler Jensen came down with Storm and Roto bowling balls, spent time talking and on the lanes with every single person that came down to try out a ball. Guests were happy to talk to someone in his position about everything from their own ideas for balls, to happenings on the pba tour the past season. People attending got to throw balls which helped them in their selection. Great experiences for all involved, anyone that has the chance to go should.

I posted my experience.  I said everyone should go because it was fun.  It's a great thing to go to because you can compare your benchmark ball to the ones they have out to try.  I probably would not have tried out a Mystic but since I did I ended up buying one.  Same thing with the Shift. Now I really want one and I was kind of unsure about it before.

Of course the big star of the thing was the T-Road Pearl because everyone was all over that one.

I loved the Storm open house we had a couple of months ago here in Louisville.  I got to try out several different balls to see which one had the characteristics that fit my style best.  I found that I preferred the Special Agent over the Rotogrip SD73 for example.  I wouldn't have known that otherwise.  In fact, I probably wouldn't have known that I liked a solid coverstock as much as I do if I hadn't gotten to throw that Special Agent.

Just got done with a open house here in St. Louis a couple of hours ago.  I was very impressed with the Secret Agent.  Ball was clean up front with a sharp breakpoint.  The Shift was a couple boards weaker than the Secret.  T Road Solid wasn't too bad, enjoyed the T Road Pearl as much as the Secret Agent though.  I felt the Roto Grip Mystic performed like the Thunderstruck solid.  Tyler Jensen, Chris Schlemer, Jeff Carter and the rest of the staff were all courteous and friendly.  Best of all, it was all free, couldn't beat it.
