Original Agent
« on: June 13, 2007, 01:03:23 PM »
Hey Stormtroopers...I'm in the market for a new ball, and I'm looking at either an Agent or a Domination. I have a Passion and a Pyro (at 2000 Abralon). The Pyro goes miles, and the Passion not as many miles, so I'm looking to stick something in between. I was thinking of either an Agent or a Domination, both at either 2000 or 4000 Abralon (polished balls are just too jumpy for me). My question to you is do you have one or both of these, and have you tried one or both at 2000 or 4000 Abralon? And if so, what kind of look did they give you? Thank you muchly!

Oh yeah, maybe add a Shift into that mix?

I would go with the Agent, since it is a good overall ball. Both the domination and the agent has low Rg, but the domination is much sharper at the breakpoint.

I have an Agent and a Domination.  I find the Agent much more useful than the Domination.  The Domination is very condition specific for me.  In fact I can only find one shot to use it on.  The Agent is more versatile.  I used the Agent for all nine games in Reno this year.  I have also used it on the Cheetah.

I have an Agent and a Shift for that spot.  I use the Shift more often as it is a more versitle ball.  The Agent is a good reactive pearl - but for me it needs a bit more dry before it can react.  IMO the Agent is darn close to a Pyro in overall boards covered so I would not get it for what you are trying to do.  I keep both of these balls at 1000 Abralon with a very light volume of polish - so 2000 with no polish will probably work well for you.

agent is very strong and versatile

i just tried a pyro yesterday, pin above bridge and cg in the palm, it was very smooth and predictable, where my agent was way stronger with pin above ring and cg right about 2 inches of the center of grip

with the right surface adjustment with the agent, u can fill that spot easily

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.
