Unpopular Recharge looks like a nice skid snapper
« on: December 14, 2004, 01:46:32 PM »
Watched a friend of mine with his today.

This ball appears to be in between the smooth X factor and the Triple X.

Similar midlane or lack of midlane compared to the X factor and then more reaction at the back than the X factor and less midlane than the XXX.

Thought that comes to mind is straight then Boom at the back!

Got a hockey stick?  Here's one!

yeah it is, i have extremely high revs, and it goes a long way and hit like a brick, bad part is my home alley has dry to medium lanes, so halfway through the second game the lanes dry up on me.

Hey do you guys think the recharge will handle heavier mediums? Not soupy type heavy but a good go to when the light to medium balls arent coming up.

I believe it is your typical lighter medium skid snap ball!

It will cover a longer pattern because of the strong sharp backend but.....

I picked it up thinking the pearl reactive cover stock would go a little longer than my HRPS, and have a sharper break point. And it would be similar to an x-factor with a different core and core characteristics.

I figured it would have a strong backend because of the coverstock and i could use it when my HRPS doesnt come up or starts comming up to strong and to high.

I find that i have to send my HRPS through alot of oil

I got mine thinking it could handle med + by the specs of it.

Well nope, its pointless to me, needs some dry down lane.

I think im gana put it at 1000 fine and see what happens.

I think by doing that it will have the cover with the right tires, (lol)

I think this ball is awesome.  I can't see why you would call it "unpopular" we have sold more of the Recharge than we did the Depth Charge!  I happened to drill both and I like the Recharge better.  I think the Depth Charge would handle oilier mediums better than the Recharge but on almost any house shot with dry back ends, the Recharge just kills the pins!

Man all I can say about the recharge is damn quit moving ball. I threw the recharge last night and just when I think the ball is going to hold, that sucka just over flips and goes the other way. I quickly stuck the recharge back in the bag. I guess I got what I was looking for, Massive backend. I have the pin low and the cg kicked out and this ball still moves on the backend.

That's what we see here with that ball a lot of nights.

Always has to be thrown hard and no soft balls to hold pocket.

But our oil is very thin with no blend thus overreactive here.  Weakly drilled X factors often take the day!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS ball was not popular here due to strong reaction!  ON shots that want smooth reaction!

What kind of surface did your have when it wasn't hooking up strong enough?
