i have had 2 different Paradigms crack on me. I am wondering if there is a batch of these balls of just a general defect. does anyone have a serial number i can compare to, or have at least heard of a batch issue like this? a 200 dollar ball should hold up better than that. I am looking for storm to rectify this or i will not continue to use them. I am liking my dynothane gear a lot right now anyways. although morich has my attention too.
thanks,
Andy

Andy, take the Paradigm's back to the person you bought them from as Storm will stand behind their product. I have both Paradigm's and I swear by them! Absolutely the best balls on the market today. The new model is new and improved, your past problems are history....

storm had a problem with the first couple batches of the paradigm's along with the passions, the problem with the cover has been resolved in all equipment made in 2006. and just so you know dynothane is made by storm.... so if you're giving up the big "s" you have to give up dt. and morich is garbage... covers don't last more than 60 games.

Storm, D/T, and Roto all "share a base resin"! I know, I bowl with or have my stuff drilled by guys that work there. All three tweek the formula and add their own cores to make up three unique and different product lines with distinctively different "feels" to them.
On the subject of cracking, the base resin was the problem I was told by a VERY reputable source. The replacement resin is of the quality initially requested. Problems are apparently gone because I have a D/T and a Storm from this batch and they are AWESOME!
I am pretty certain that no Ball manufacturer makes their own base resin and that it is all made overseas and shipped here to be "finished"... I am certain somebody will chime in and enlighten me... I recall a discussion on this subject way back in the day... something about stringent EPA rules...

I heard that too but thought that was regarding the Paradigm Passions not the Paradigms... My balance hole actually touches the core of my passion but I have not rolled it yet. Hope to give it a shot on a PBA Conditions Summer League.

I hears the cracking was caused by not letting the cores cool so in turn pouring the cover over a hot weight block caused stress on something or the expanding/contraction on saomething??? I dont know but thats what my driller told me and he is pretty go0d on knowing things like that.

I think that issue actually applied to both Paradigms and Paradigm Passions, which would make sense because they have the same core.
