IQ Tour Nano Review
« on: August 01, 2020, 10:22:46 AM »
The famous Centripetal Core is back! This time teamed up with the NRG Pearl Reactive Cover, finished at 3000 grit, we expect to see a much stronger reaction overall. The NRG is one of Storm’s strongest covers and from the latest reviews, from the tech team, this ball seems to pick up much sooner and provide more overall shape than the original IQ Tour Nano.

The IQ Nano Pearl will be an extremely versatile piece to have in your bag and will be favorable to many different styles, layouts and oil conditions. I have 2 ready to go that I plan on doing a pin up and pin down version of to complement each other, which will provide opportunities to throw on all different lane conditions and transitions. I see this ball working very well on house shots and sport patterns that are of medium to heavy volume and on short to medium pattern lengths.

This is a ball that will be a must have for all levels of players.

I have no doubt that this will be a good ball, but its hard to "review" a ball which you have yet to throw

Storm iQ Tour Nano Pearl
Layout – 55 x 5 x 25
This ball is an absolute home run!  To me, the iQ Tour’s coverstock has progressively gotten weaker over the years which has forced players to use that ball differently than originally intended.  This Nano Pearl matches up for me so much better.  The motion is similar just much more traction in oil.  For me, I predominantly just bowl in tournaments, so I am looking for versatility, this ball gives me exactly that.  I’ve used it on 32 successfully and 47 feet successfully!  This ball will be in my bag for every tournament!  It is my new benchmark ball!

IQ Tour Nano Pearl Review

For someone who hasn't had a Storm ball with the Nano cover, I couldn't believe how strong this ball really was.  Compared to the IQ Tour, the Nano Pearl is a few boards stronger even though it is also cleaner in the front part of the lane.  A great step down from the Axiom when a strong shape yet controllable is necessary.  Even though this ball produces more angle than the IQ Tour, it is still more controllable than most pearls in the Storm line.  Not only is this ball versatile, it is very continuous and can be used on a wide array of oil conditions and varying styles.  If you enjoy any of the previous IQ series balls, this is a must have ball in your arsenal!
