I'm looking to get a Storm ball for dry/broken down oil conditions. I've got a Passion and a Columbia Power Drive that work fine with the right amount of oil, but they're a real pain to control on the dry lanes where I practice. I've got a friend who uses a Tropical Storm when it's too dry for his Dark Thunder, and it finds the way to its target better than Iraqi insurgents watching Geraldo. But even though I've seen the Tropical in action, the Hybrid looks like it has the potential to be the perfect murder ball. It's got the Reactor coverstock and the FE2 core, so it's like the Tropical and the Dark Thunder got it on and had an apple scented baby.

So, I guess what I'm wondering is if the Hot Rod Hybrid is going to be too much for a down and in stroker with light to medium revs throwing at 15 mph on dry lanes, or should I get a Tropical Storm?

Yes that drilling is great for dry lanes, my buddy has a layout just like that on his and man that sucker doesn't do anything unless its dry and then when its dry enough for use it shines.

Before I got my agent I used my hybrid exlusively at 1200 grit no polish and had to play inside to find oil to ensure energy left for the pins but I got a similar reaction with a HRHB at 1200 grit as my friend did with his vertigo, now I can't really compare as I have more revs but it was funny him complaining about wasting his money on a vertigo. But from my 300+ games of experience with that ball and tweaking the cover and such it is just awesome, also messege KeglerX if you have any questions, hes the one that lead me to most of the changes I did to that ball and really knows what he is talking about.
