Passion vs Epic Battle
« on: May 23, 2006, 12:17:11 AM »
I usually only buy Storm balls and was considering buying a Passion for heavy oil but I have heard and read some good things about the Epic Battle. How do these balls compare? Also has Storm resolved the cracking problem with the Passion and is it worth the extra money?

Epic Battle and you won't be disappointed.  I know my handle is Storm4ever, but I'm thinking of changing it to Roto4ever.  The last 6 balls I have bought have been Rotos and I've bowled excellent with them.  I have an Epic Battle to drill for myself which will be my Heavy oil/tournament ball but I drilled one for my friend and there is no amount of oil this ball can't handle.  I've only seen a couple of Passions in my house and I can't get a good read off this ball because the guy who throws it has too many revs to try to tell how it would work for like my game.  Personally, I really don't like anything that Storm has out right now.  All my favorite storm balls, Ace, Depth Charge, Hot Rods are all discontinued.  My last new Storm ball was a Paradigm and I really like that ball.  For my money and yours, save $30 to $40 and get a Battle.  You won't be disappointed.

watched local pro-shop owner throw passion/scorching inferno...side by side...the scorching covered more boards and cut threw carry-down much better...just an over-all stronger ball...

haven't seen the battle in action...had the epic myself...it was plenty strong as it was...
