Tried my new SonIQ today.  House shot.  Averaged over 200 with it.  Good ball, but I still haven't found my "Magic" ball.  If I throw it right, I strike.  If I don't, then sometimes I strike, but usually not.  Now, I have 5 good rocks that I can average over 200 with in my house.  SonIQ, Code Red, Code Black, Intense, and Hy-Road.  All different with the same results.

Thanks for the replys, HackJandy and jkirkerx.  I bought the Code Red because I got beat in league by a guy with half my talent and skill.  With a little extra polish, it is about as strong a ball as I dare to roll in either of my two houses.  I have finally gotten back to my normal average by moving way left and shooting 15 left.  No further right than the 10 or it looks like it hit a bumper.  Hy-Road when the fronts are burnt and there is some carry down.  Intense when I am at a normal Fresh house shot.  Code black when the lanes begin to dry a little.  Code Red when the lanes have a little more oil.  Now my SonIQ will be for fresh and will carry me though the 2nd game into the 3rd will just a small adjustment.  It is a good ball, but too much speed from a little inside and the ball will leave me 8 or 10 pins.  Too little speed or too much come back will leave me 9 or 4-9 splits.  I have too much hand for my speed, so a high flush will leave me with a 4-10 split.  Overall I like the ball and through 4 games it gave  me a little miss room to the pocket both inside and outside.  Now I have 5 good rocks that will all last a little longer, because I can swap them out at will.  Remember, this is all on a med-light house shot.  A sport shot will be another story.  I recommend the ball if you need a more versatile ball or you like the colors.

I got a Soniq over the weekend. I decided to sell my Intense (good but too condition specific, much like the timeless) and Danger to get this ball. The IQ30 was really good for me in 15, so figured this would be good in 14. I threw my PSO's last Tuesday after league and knew I needed to get one.

So far I've only used it on sport shots. I had match play for a big local tournament on Saturday, bowling on a 40-41ft sport pattern. I was able to play out near the gutter with this ball. Perfect length and the core would rev up at the right time. I heard comments from a few people that said there shouldn't be a shot out there. I didn't end up advancing to the finals, but I bowled fairly well. Especially considering I've been battling the flu or something and usual back/joint issues.

Despite feeling crappy and should've been resting, I used it again on Sunday while bowling with the kids in their league on sport. This time a 45ft pattern. I was still able to play outside, but a little more direct. Near the end, I jumped inside and the ball looked good from there as well.

I will try it on the fresh THS in league tonight. I suspect it will be good there as well. I even left the box surface on. I usually hate the factory polish, especially on symmetrics, but it was fine on the IQ30 and it seems to be fine here.

My son bowled an 8 game tournament Friday with his. I don’t  think he moved more than a couple boards, that was to get settled in. I thought he should have been moving more left as the day progressed but he said it was him, not the ball, that was causing the shots to cross back over. Kept coming around it, slight spin. When he does that he pulls or pushes the shot. When he released it right, thing was money. Ended up 4th in doubles, missed 3rd by 4 pins, 7th for the all-event side.

He loves the IQ series, except for the Tour Pearl. He never liked that one for some reason.
