Pearl/solid combo arsenal
« on: March 06, 2017, 09:15:30 PM »
2 handed. Looking to start over my arsenal going up to 15#. Looking for a solid suggestions for a pearl ball and a solid ball. THP mostly, but breaks down significantly into the 3rd game and my current medium dry can't handle it

Solid ball suggestions for high volumes of oil and when the lanes start to break down? Pearl ball for lmedium-dry for fresh or dry oil lanes to start off the night.

Thanks

For heavy oil, go with either an Alpha Crux or maybe the Sure Lock that comes out tomorrow, which I have not tried yet but reviews suggest it will be a great ball for heavy oil. For medium oil, if you want a hard hitting asymetrical ball, you can't go wrong with either a Snap Lock or a No Rules Pearl. For medium breaking down to dryer conditions, go with a Crux Pearl, if you can still find one undrilled for sale. For dry to almost no oil left, go with a Pitch Black or a Pitch Blue.

Are you adding to an arsenal?  The gap between a Crux Pearl and a Pitch Black/Blue is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

Besides, most bowlers don't have the greatest luck using urethane on the burn.  Not saying you can't have success, but usually bowlers have other tricks up their sleeve.

Not sure how this can be answered without having either some idea of your rev rate and ball speed, OR what balls are you using now and how they are not working.

You could need anything from a heavy oil ball, like the Lock series, or a dry lanes ball like the Tropical Storm.
