secret agent question,honestly.
« on: September 13, 2007, 10:12:27 AM »
ok yeah i have one and i to this point have been less than happy with it,but this isnt a gripe. My question is this,my ball tracks to the top of the finger holes not on the side.If u hold the ball with the fingers pointing up the flare lines are straight above the fingers and then to the right. I have never seen a ball flare like this.Is this normal? Its perpendicular to the flare of everyone of my balls and i dont throw it any differently.

It's not just that this ball flares more than your others, is it?  I know a guy with a SCB (diff of 0.075 or thereabouts) that gets 7+ inches of flare and the last flare line is almost above his fingers even though the first one is in a more conventional spot.

I'd say some kind of release change and to get your grip checked, but you'd probably notice if a span or pitch was off that much.

What about locating your PAP?  Put a piece of tape on your PAP on some other ball, confirm that's actually your PAP, place another piece in the same spot on your Secret Agent and see if that's still your PAP.

On some balls the last flare rings can come around and almost hit the thumb!!! I don't see yours as unusual.

y would my pap be in concern.it doesnt change based on ball construction does it. its set up exactly like another ball i have . and i have no problem with the other ball.
the flare marks are not near the thumb they are across the face of the fingers, this probably wont help but here goes.

Again, this is quite normal for some weight blocks. My point about the thumb was to let you know that the flare lines can continue from where you drew them and come all the way down to the thumb on it's right side!!! So your situation is not bad at all!

this ball for me slides on anything oil dry med what ever. If its a wet dry shot and i move right it runs high,if i move left and keep it in the oil it skates. The first time i used it i was able to play a decent swing shot on a lighter condition ,the next night was league and they had a higher volume of oil than they had had all summer. i was standing 20 and point ing the ball up 7 and it wouldnt wrinkel. I have tried it on various shots in various bowling alleys. i had it taken to 1000 and then polished over that . It just doesnt match up with me at all. I think its better for down and in players with speed. I am a swing player with low speed and revs and it and i just dont match up. I was hoping with the weird flare there was some simple fix ,but if this is normal then i am resolved to think its just a bad match for me.
