So.. The Phaze AI is by far the EASIEST ball I have thrown in a while.

I drilled mine 4 inches from my PAP 4 3/4 x 1.

I decided to go slightly stronger than I’d normally go because my Phaze II is 4.5.


(To preface this, I practiced on a fresh house shot that tends to have alittle more volume in the middle of the lane)

The Power Edge finish was very impressive and the ball literally feels how you could imagine a ball would feel if you went over a pearl lightly with 3000.

I was curious to see if it would see the lane sooner because of the textured pearl feel to the hand. If anything I feel like the Power Edge finish helped control the ball once it saw friction off the pattern.

The Phaze AI to me felt like it was gliding downlane, I increased my rev rate and lowered my speed and it didn’t overreact which made me happy so I moved around the lane more. I closed my angles increased my speed with less rotation and had no issue with carry or continuation which made me happier. I dont always do this but I changed my tilt and trapped it to see if there were any limitations front to back and got the same results.


Balls like this are really a once every few years type of thing and really a big deal. I dont see why anyone wouldnt find success with this ball in league or tournaments.
