Phaze III vs the Halo pearl
« on: March 30, 2020, 06:05:41 PM »
Is there much difference in the two balls? Is one stronger than the other as far as oil handling ability? Which one is sharper off of the spot? Are they different enough to have both? Anything that you could tell me about them would be appreciated. Thank You.

Phaze lll sharper off the spot.Halo Pearl would handle oil better being asym. Could slide both in bag using Halo pearl as a step up ball from benchmark and using Phaze lll as go long ball if you wanted both in your bag. That would be used on med to heavy shots say 24to 29 mils

These are the only 2 balls I purchased this year and both have less than 20 games on them so I can make a good comparison between them. I have them both pin up (4 1/2" to pap).  P3 is cleaner, sharper down lane and about 2-3 boards less than the HP, my P3 (box surface) gets a little squirty on volume whereas the HP (hit it lightly with 3000 pad) reads the mids much better and is smoother down lane. I find these 2 balls to complement each other quite well and for me there is no overlap between the 2.

I also have both. My H/P is pin up, the P III is pin down. For me I can play a more down and in shot with the halo, where the P III   I use more when the back end is slightly drier and I can open up more. But if there is carry down, the Halo will preform better. I like having both options if needed, there is a difference.
