i have been fighting my equipment burning up or snapping too hard in the back ends. On a whim, I put my pitch black back in the bag after hitting it with royal compound to try to get more length out of it. I brought it out of the bag in the fifth frame of the first game because of my primal rage hooking too hard. I ended up shooting 720 for my second 700 and highest series ever.

Boyah is your brand, I know, I got some 900 now, but dude, I saw a 840 happen with a AVERAGE STYLE BOWLER.  ..no big rev guy.

Iam usually against this urethane revolution but dang..it is that good.

Booyah or Pitch Black?

I watched a 840 widdah ptich black.  It was super dope

So i decided to polish one of my Pitch Blacks as they have been burning up early and leaving alot of corners. Saw a few posts and people loved their Pitch Blacks more after polishing. Well, Im going to join that group. 10 minutes in a Lustre King and a new polished Pitch Black emerged. Had to take some alcohol to it to get some of the residue off but off to the lanes i went. Practice was great but i decided to go with my box finish Pitch Black to start with. 217 with 3 10pins and 1 7pin. Decided to switch since i was hitting pocket but not carrying. Out comes the polished Pitch Black. What i saw was a ball that still wanted to hook early but due to the polish, glided thru the heads perfectly, saving its energy and giving me just enough finish to comfortably carry corners. 246-268 last 2 games and everyone on my pair said that the polish makes this ball soooo much better. If you have been contemplating adding polish, dont hesitate and just do it.

Ive been killing with Blacks and my Red so i still havent punched up a Blue so far. Everything ive heard about Blue suggests its a winner so i may drill soon. As far as my new Circle arsenal, i love them. The only ones ive drilled so far is the High Voltage and the Tilt Pearl. If the lanes are a little too oily for the Urethane stuff, i can pull these out and they give me just enough pop in the back to carry corners. Really depends on how i feel for the day dictates what i throw at league as im comfortable with everything i have for the first time in a long time. I will drill up the rest as my tournament season is upon me and the more options i have, the better. I really cant wait to try the Hard Core, looks like a beast.

In the leagues I am in, bowlers who use urethane are not liked.  There have been some heated arguments over the use of urethane.  There has been talk of banning urethane balls next year. 

That is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard ever.

I've experienced the same negative criticism myself.  At the time I was bowling left  handed with urethane, and I was told that I "screw up the lanes pretty bad".  The opposing left handers would take the night off and not even bowl in protest.  WTF?
