As someone that has struggled to use urethane in the past, the new Pitch Purple has changed my belief in it. This ball has all the characteristics of urethane but the hitting power of reactive. Not once while throwing this ball for the 1st time was I worried about carry or down lane motion. The most noticeable thing about this ball compared to other urethanes is how well it recovers down lane. This ball does what it should up front, and blends out the wet and the dry nicely and then makes a reactive type shape down lane and hits like an absolute truck. I have been able to use this on a variety of different patterns and lengths and the shape and motion stay very consistent. If you have had problems with other urethanes in the past, I would highly suggest giving this one a try.
