Pitch Purple Review
« on: February 24, 2020, 11:36:11 AM »
For someone who hasn't used urethane much besides on short sport patterns, I was super excited when Storm announced the Pitch Purple.  The Pitch Purple does not disappoint.  It is great for those heavier volume and/or longer length sport patterns.  This ball backends like a resin ball while still giving you that urethane feel of control.  This is a good step up ball for me especially when I am using the pitch black and it gets too lazy down lane.  Not only can I play up the lane with the Pitch Purple but I can open up my angles and play more left to right which is very uncustomary for me.  If you really enjoy the pitch black and want a cleaner and more responsive version, then the pitch purple is for you!

I’ve had a lot of success with Storm/Roto Grip urethane balls so when they announced the Pitch Purple I was very excited. I drilled mine 4.5 x 4 x 4 and after throwing it, I was instantly in love. It was just as strong if not stronger as the Hot Cell from Roto Grip but not as long as the Fever Pitch. Also it didn’t give me that instant hook out of the box like the Pitch Black & Hot Cell. Shorter patterns with more volume or those mid length patterns will be great for this ball. If your not a fan of urethane but would like to try one, this would be the ball to get !

Purple Pin Eater!!!!

Wow, is all I can say about the Pitch Purple. This ball is just fun to throw and it eats up the pins.

The Pitch Purple is unlike any other ball that I have thrown. It gives you the reaction of urethane in the front part of the lane and the reaction of resin down the lane.

Compared to the Pitch Black which gives you a more traditional Urethane reaction, the Pitch Purple is in a league of its own. With the Pitch Purple I can play more areas of the lane and have a good ball reaction on many different lane conditions.

This balls hits hard and throws the pins around.

Get one in your bag today.

You would think that with the coronavirus and no bowling for a while all this staffers crap would be paused... I was wrong.

"A must hace in your bag", "pin eater", "very continuous", "this ball hits hard", yada yada yada...

But...don't you need to know ASAP that every ball is "unlike any other ball I've thrown"?
